Second Life History - Second Life (abbreviated as SL) is an Internet-based virtual world launched in 2003, developed by Linden Research, Inc. (commonly referred to as Linden Lab), which came to international attention via mainstream news media in late 2006 and early 2007. A downloadable client program called the Second Life Viewer enables its users, called "Residents", to interact with each other through motional avatars, providing an advanced level of a social network service combined with general aspects of a Metaverse. Residents can explore, meet other Residents, socialize, participate in individual and group activities, create and trade items (virtual property) and services from one another. Second Life is a user-defined world in which people can interact, play, do business, and otherwise communicate. Second Life's virtual currency is the Linden Dollar (Linden, or L$) and is exchangeable for real world currencies in a marketplace consisting of residents, Linden Lab and real life companies. The demand for it has forced us to upgrade stores not once but four times!! As with our online boutique you see here we decided from day one that if we could not do the lingerie justice and create something worth buying we would not go through the pain and frustration of linking Real Life to Second Life......The feeding frenzy we have witnessed tells us it was worth every drop of our blood, sweat and tears to bring Carnal Lingerie to Second Life and we are so pleased with the results. Our second boutique is located in the Stonebender Village, Second Life's premier retail plaza. Apart from Aqua Pache, Stonebender and Ronoc, Carnal has three other boutiques in some of the finest locations including Portofino, InStyle Mall and Mangakino. In our quest to bring Second Life to this website and to create the amazing lingerie you will find in-world we have gathered the finest team possible. Purely by chance we came across Gabrielle and were simply mesmerised by her digital artwork. Her style is unique and her attitude to her craft is meticulous, totally professional and a perfectionist who brings the lingerie to life. Her image of Angel Silky is the first of a Second Life model to be officially recognised as a professional model in her own right. We hope to work with Gabrielle for many years to come......Strawberry Fields Photos Faith Maxwell - a true friend and inspiration, her sculptures are amazing and some are displayed at our flagship store. Faith - Sculptures and Artwork Jason Kirshner - built my first store and stayed calm despite my constant changes of mind. He managed to see what was in my head and build it, then change it.....then change it again and again.....I owe you big time and hope to give you a bigger challenge very soon. The first store - built by Jason at Ronoc. Lebaz Zabelin - my dearest friend and the inspiration to continue when it almost appeared impossible. After so many false starts, let downs and disappointments she made me carry on........ I am so glad I listened.
